24-Hour Emergency Assistance
Remote/On-Call Crisis Response

Service Overview
What Is 24-Hour Emergency Assistance?
24-Hour Emergency Assistance is an emergency response system — not staffing. It is defined by Minnesota DHS as on-call counseling, problem solving, or immediate response at the person’s home due to a health or personal emergency.
This service is designed to replace the risk of institutional placement by providing individuals with immediate access to crisis support around the clock. It ensures that help is always available, reducing the need for emergency room visits or institutional care.
Important Distinction
This service replaces the risk of institutional placement — it is not a replacement for 911. In life-threatening emergencies, always call 911 first.
